The Entertainment District, after dark
A few tight blocks of clubs, DJ patios and bachelorette parties north of Old Town. Here's how to do it without losing the plot.
The Scottsdale Entertainment District is the loud part of downtown. It's packed into a small grid of short streets north of Old Town: Saddlebag Trail, Craftsman Court, Stetson Drive and Indian Plaza, a short walk from the Arizona Canal. In the daytime it looks like a sleepy row of patios. After ten on a Friday it's wristbands, bottle service sparklers and a line of rideshares wrapping the block.
This is spring training country and bachelorette central, so expect matching shirts and a lot of birthday crowns. If that's your scene, perfect. If you just want a cold beer and good tacos with your crew, it still works, you just pick your blocks. For daytime history and saloons, head to Old Town. For the galleries, it's the Arts District.
The vibe: how the Entertainment District actually works
Think of it as a walkable bar crawl with a dress code that gets stricter as the night goes. Early evening is patios, happy hour and big screens for whatever game is on. Around ten the DJs take over, covers kick in at the bigger rooms, and the sidewalk turns into a slow parade of groups deciding where to go next.
Thursday through Saturday is the full show. Spring training season and the cooler months are the peak, when the whole Valley seems to end up here. Summer weekends still go, they just start later, once the sidewalks stop glowing.
Local advice: pick two spots, not six. The district is small enough that hopping is easy, but lines and covers add up fast, and the best nights here are the ones where your group actually stays together.

Entertainment District
Bottled Blonde
7340 E Indian Plaza, Scottsdale, AZ 85251Part nightclub, part dayclub, part sports bar, with a big outdoor patio, food service and Top 40 at volume. Thursday nights are a thing here, and weekends get packed.
It's the room most bachelorette parties end up in at some point. Go in knowing that and you'll have a great time.
TipEat before you go. Edibles plus vodka sodas on an empty stomach is how nights end early.

TipSaturday is the big night. Get there before the line builds.

Entertainment District
The canal walk between rounds
The Arizona Canal is a short walk from the district, and a stroll along the lit pathways toward the Waterfront is the easiest way to reset between bars. Fresh air, water, less bass.
The full story on the canal, Soleri Bridge and Fashion Square is on the Waterfront page.
TipIt's a public path, so no lighting up out there. Just walk it off.
Where to eat and drink late
Club food is fine. Real food is better. The after-bar munchie run is half the reason locals come out, and you want a spot you can walk to.

Old Town / Entertainment District edge
Mesquite Fresh Street Mex (Old Town)
A local street taco chain with an Old Town location that's long been a go-to after the bars. You build your own: pick a meat, the cheese, then load the toppings.
It's fast, cheap-feeling in the good way, and exactly what your body is asking for at last call.
TipOrder double what you think. You'll eat it.
